Situated on the edge of the Périgord and Guyenne regions, this former bastide town, with its round-tiled houses clustered together on a hill, was founded in the 13C by Alphonse de Poitiers, brother of Louis IX. Enjoy a stroll along its carrétots (narrow streets sometimes spanned by small bridges (pontets) that form covered passageways), taking time to enjoy the pleasant terraces on Place des Arcades.
