Maison Louis-XIV

Interesting
This is a noble dwelling the façade of which is distinguished by its corner turrets and corbelled construction. Inside the old-Basque style is reflected in the straight run staircase. The manager of the Lohbiague ship probably had no idea of what was to become of his house. The young Louis XIV was invited there on 8th June 1660. On the 9th at the end of the afternoon, he returned there on the arm of the Spanish infanta. Queen Anne of Austria abruptly closed the curtains of the nuptial bed.
