This shepherds' village surrounded by wooded mountains is home to a Romanesque church, part of a former 11C abbey, which once stood along one of the pilgrim routes to Santiago de Compostela. The church stands in a pleasantly bucolic setting site in the upper coomb of the Uhaïtxa river valley. The impressively grandiose Ehujarre canyon nearby is accessible via a hiking trail departing from Sainte-Engrâce.
