Tatihou Island

Tatihou Island (29ha/27 acres) is accessible by amphibious vehicle and, depending on the tides, on foot. The coastal conservation association, to whom the island has belonged since 1989, has decided to focus on regional species by way of a magnificent botanical and maritime garden and a bird sanctuary that will delight bird watchers. Fortified by Vauban, climb to the top of the fort's tower for a fine view of the island and the seaboard.
