Hôtel de ville

The town hall was built in 1734 by Jacques-Jules Gabriel (who was the father of the architect of the iconic Place de la Bourse of Bordeaux). The central tower bears a clock which the people of Rennes affectionately refer to as "Fatty"; it is linked to two impressive pavilions by two curved buildings. In the right wing is the "Rennes Pantheon".
