Sheltered by the ria (estuary in Celtic) which feeds into the Gulf of Morbihan, the port of Auray, St Goustan, is quite delightful: cobbled streets, half-timbered houses and walled gardens combine to paint an almost timeless picture steeped in charm. The town built above the River Loc'h is more contemporary and dynamic in appearance with a market, countless shops and café terraces.
