Museum of Fine Art

Highly recommended
Created in 1799, this medieval palace is one of the oldest of France and home to a fantastic collection of 137,000 works of art (painting, sculpture, furniture, table arts, weapons and drawings). The first of three-reworked sections revolves around 14 rooms (Middle Ages and Renaissance), one of which showcases the impressive tombs of the Dukes of Burgundy. The 17C, 18C, 19C and 20C rooms are closed until 2019 for a good cause, as they are part of the last phase of the museum's renovation!
