The museum covers the prehistoric archeology of the southern Mâcon region, the horses and hunting of the Upper Paleolithic Age in Solutré and, finally Solutrean Man set in a European context. It has two excellent viewpoints overlooking the Saône valley and the Rock of Solutré.
