Tau Palace

Recommended
Since the Middle Ages, the bishops' palace has been the setting for two ceremonies which accompanied the king's coronation: his official dressing prior to the ceremony and the banquet which followed it. Remodelled in the 15C in Flamboyant Gothic style, and then around 1670 in Classical style by Robert de Cotte, it was severely damaged by a fire in 1914. Superbly restored, it is now home to the cathedral treasury and part of its original statuary.
