The old episcopal buildings now house the fascinating museum of Evreux. The chapter house contains religious art from the Middle Ages and the Renaissance and in the basement, don't miss the archaeology room where the ancient Gallo-Roman rampart is shown: domestic objects, statuettes, jewellery and a superb bronze of Jupiter Stator. Upstairs are paintings from the 17C to the 20C (with emphasis on abstraction), sculpture (Rodin), earthenware and furniture.
