Not far from Tréport on the Côte d'Albâtre, Eu is a pretty Normandy town whose bustling pedestrian streets are very pleasant. The town is rich in history, as a visit to the castle will demonstrate. William, the future conqueror, wedded his cousin Matilda from Flanders here in 1050. Destroyed, it then became the property of Louis-Philippe who made it his summer residence in the late 19C. Nearby is a magnificent forest that is a great favourite with walkers and cyclists.
