La Défense Main Arch
Built out of a single block, this huge 110m-high glass and white Carrara marble arch was designed by the Danish architect Otto von Spreckelsen. The Grande Arche, which takes the form of an empty cube, is the end point of the city's historical axis, which takes in the Louvre, Place de la Concorde and Arc de Triomphe. From the roof, which reopened in 2017 and is accessible via panoramic lifts, the view of Paris will take your breath away.
