Galerie Vivienne and Galerie Colbert

Recommended
The Vivienne and Colbert arcades date from between 1823 and 1826. The former, with its glass roof and lined by fashion boutiques and a tea room, has preserved its decor of nymphs and goddesses. The latter, restored to its original Pompeian appearance, is part of the national library and is used as a venue for exhibitions and conference, with an auditorium beneath the rotunda. The Grand Colbert café has managed to retain its 1900s ambience.
