The town of Provins comprises an upper section protected by old walls and towers and a lower section built over reclaimed marshland. Both areas date from the Middle Ages and both have retained memories of its glorious past. With no fewer than 58 important monuments, buildings and houses, Provins is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This charming historic town has a lively atmosphere, making it a great place to visit, from its medieval underground galleries to its exciting open-air shows.
