Housed in the former air terminal at Le Bourget, built in 1914 for military purposes, this museum displays a collection of extraordinary flying machines, including some of the aeronautical industry's greatest successes. In the former terminal, a jewel of Art Deco, the hangars and on the tarmac, admire examples of the spirit of aviation, from Leonardo da Vinci's early projects to the conquest of space, the first hot-air balloons developed by the Montgolfier brothers, the air force's Mirage jets and even Concorde.
