Breteuil Castle

Recommended
Located in the Chevreuse valley, Breteuil is one of the most charming castles in the Île-de-France region. Built at the turn of the 17C and enlarged in the 18C and 19C, it has belonged to the same family for four centuries. It is popular with young and old alike who come here to enjoy the magnificent setting, learn more about the history of France (via the display of wax models), watch re-enactments of Charles Perrault's famous fairy tales, admire the French-style gardens, and stroll through the castle's romantic grounds.
