Évry
The Essential
Évry is one of the five "new towns" created in the Greater Paris area in the mid 20C. The town has a striking urban centre, most of which dates from the 1970s, and where all the town's main buildings (such as the agora, town hall, court house, École Nationale de Musique etc) are located. Évry is a good example of a town open to all cultures, with its modern cathedral designed by Mario Botta, the Courcouronnes mosque and the Khanh-Anh pagoda.
