National Renaissance Museum

Recommended
This museum is partly made up of the Renaissance collections from the Musée de Cluny in Paris. It houses a remarkable array of works from the 16C to the early 17C, giving pride of place to the decorative arts: furniture, wood panelling, tapestries and embroideries, and ceramics and enamels, mainly from France, Italy and the Netherlands. Among the tapestries on display, the wall hanging depicting the Story of David and Bathsheba (75m long and dating from the 16C) is particularly impressive.
