Memorial to the unknown Jewish Martyr

The former Memorial of the Unknown Jewish Martyr was restored and extended in 2005 and is now known as the Shoah Memorial. It is a place of remembrance and learning with an archive centre, a multimedia area, classrooms and an auditorium. In the courtyard, The Wall is inscribed with the names of the 76,000 French-Jewish deportees. Since 2006, the Wall of the Righteous pays tribute to the 2,693 individuals responsible for rescuing Jews during WW2.
