Interesting
Not far from Rambouillet forest, the narrow streets of Montfort-l'Amaury (named after the Count of Montfort who lived here in the 11C) extend below the ruins of its old castle. It was in this small medieval town that Maurice Ravel composed many of his famous works. Today, the town has become a chic destination, as demonstrated by its many antique shops and typical "country" restaurants.
