Paul Valéry Museum

Overlooking the sea from Mont Saint-Clair, this pleasant museum has an interesting collection of paintings from the 19C to the present day, with an emphasis on two schools of art from Sète - the Montpellier-Sète group (Bessil, Calvet, Couderc, Descossy, Desnoyer, Dezeuze and Fournel) and Figuration Libre (Combas and Di Rosa). On the first floor, an exhibition dedicated to the Sète poet and philosopher Paul Valéry houses a display of first editions, manuscripts, water colours and drawings.
