Interesting
On the border between the ancient Arvernes and Lémovices territories, Bort developed in the Middle Ages and was granted the right to build ramparts, some of which remain, by King Charles VII. The small town is famous for its volcanic organ columns and a dam, which is a popular fishing and water sports centre. Bort is ideally located to explore the banks of the Dordogne.
