South Corrèze, "Gateway to the South", around Brive or Collonges-la-Rouge, boasts the most sunshine. From late June to September, the weather is favourable everywhere. The month of July sees a wealth of festivals (current music in Brive, classical music throughout Corrèze).
Outside of those months, though, you might as well forget the destination, unless you are impervious to the temperamental weather that plagues Limousin's mountains (rainy autumn and spring) or the Plateau de Millevaches, subject to harsh winters that drag on until April. The only exception to this rule is the start of November, which nevertheless kicks off the festivites with the famous Brive book fair.
