Airborne Museum

This museum pays homage to the American paratroopers who took part in the Normandy landings of 6 June 1944. Laid out over two different areas, the museum has a design that is reminiscent of a parachute. Exhibits include a Waco glider and a Douglas C47 aeroplane. With its large collection of equipment (weapons, uniforms, vehicles etc), the museum relates these men's extraordinary efforts as they contributed directly to the liberation of France. A hall, inaugurated in 2014, houses a Piper Club plane from 1942.
