Saint Lizier Cathedral
The cathedral was built from the 10C to the 15C. Note the unaligned choir with its superb 12C Romanesque frescoes depicting the apostles. Their style is reminiscent of Byzantine paintings. Don't miss the 12C cloister with sculpted capitals inspired by Gallo-Roman, Mozarabic, Syrian and Chaldean motifs; the upper gallery (14C); and the Treasure-house containing the reliquary bust of St Lizier (16C), a 12C ivory crosier and 16C statues.
