Aubin
The Essential
Aubin is the other mining town of the Decazeville coal basin, the workings of which are revealed at the Musée de la Mine Lucien-Mazars. The town is presided over by a fort built in the late 2C by the Roman general Claudius Albinus. The Église Notre Dame houses a 13C lead baptismal font, as well as a polychrome wooden Christ, an interesting Roman sculpture from the 12C.
