Notre Dame Cathedral of Rodez
The current pink sandstone building was built from 1277. The impressive façade, worthy of a fortress, was originally a stronghold located beyond the city's outer wall. A massive 14C bell tower rises six storeys to a height of 87m/285ft. Inside, note the 15C pews by André Sulpice, a beautiful stone enclosure wall, a rood-screen from 1470 and a superbly carved organ case.
