Abandoned hamlets, isolated villages and a landscape that gives visitors the impression of being at the end of the world... 1 300m up on a vast basalt plateau of the same name, Aubrac is a fresh and sunny little summer resort. Only a square tower, Romanesque church and 16C building remain of its ancient Dômerie, once home to an order of monastic knights who provided shelter to Compostela pilgrims.
