Lying on the border of Rouergue and Quercy, the bastide town of Villefranche was built in 1252 by Alphonse de Poitiers, Count of Toulouse. It is a picturesque spot at the confluence of the Aveyron River and Alzou River. In this town, the houses gather at the foot of the might tower of the Église Notre Dame and the narrow little streets are great for walks.
