This town in the Gers, founded in the 13C, has developed an international reputation thanks to its Jazz Festival, which draws top musicians and attracts large crowds. The charming bastide town of Marciac is equally proud of its colourful market of fine produce, installed on the main square of l'Hôtel de Ville. It also boasts the highest steeple in the Gers and several narrow medieval streets in ochre tones. It is a pleasant place to stay, particularly given the boating club and hiking trails that complete the picture.
