Raymond VI Gardens

The Raymond IV gardens adjacent to Toulouse's Abattoirs (now a Museum of modern and contemporary art) extend all the way to the Garonne. There is a lovely view over the city's right bank from the Viguerie footbridge (140m/459ft) spanning the river. Note the medieval ramparts that encircle the park, one of the few remaining stretches of 16C fortifications in the former capital of Occitania.
