St-Pierre de Carennac church

Interesting
The finest feature of the Romanesque Saint-Pierre de Carennac church is its 12C doorway, embellished with clear, structured scenes, depicting symbols of the four Evangelists and Christ, in majesty, set in a mandorla. It is felt to be one of the finest examples of a Romanesque tympanum and equal to those of Beaulieu, Moissac, Collonges and Cahors.
