St-Maur church of Martel

St-Maur church was built between the 14C and 16C and resembles a fortified castle in parts: its buttresses were converted into defence towers and the 40m-high bell tower was used as the town's watchtower. This church has a fine Romanesque tympanum showing Christ enthroned at the Last Judgement. Another interesting feature is the 16C stained-glass window that lets light into the church.
