When to go
Set off to explore the Île d'Yeu in spring or autumn, when the crowds have dissipated and the mild, sunny climate is good for walking and bicycle rides. This is the time when you will have access to untamed and deserted spots.
On the other hand, in summer, the "Corsica of the Atlantic" attracts a multitude of holiday-makers, all keen to get their share of the sandy creeks and magnificent beaches when the temperatures rarely exceed 25°C and the quality of the light is incomparable.
Nonetheless, in winter, it's never cold, as the island enjoys an oceanic climate.
