Vendée History Museum
Perfectly integrated into the landscape under a roof-canopy of plants, this new museum (3,100m²/10,171ft²) charts the history of Vendée from the Prehistoric period to the present day. Visitors follow a timeline through eight sections. The Medieval millennium is brought to life with a half-timbered workshop and church portal, and the section devoted to the Vendée Wars explains the origins and the main episodes of this movement with clarity.
