Forêt de Saint-Gobain
This 6 000ha forest covers a plateau scarred with quarries and dotted with ponds. It is planted with oak, beech, ash in the clay soils, birch in the sandy soil and poplar trees in the valleys. The massif is still home to a population of stags. Follow the abbey route as far as Saint-Gobain, which is renowned for its Royal Mirror Manufactory founded by Louis XIV.
