Park

Recommended
Designed by Le Nôtre for the Great Condé, the palace grounds dazzled Louis XIV so much that he wanted the same water feature for himself at Versailles. Stroll around and you will also see the superb landscaped garden (1820) and its "Philosophers' Alleys", the Chapelle St Jean, a chapel built in 1538, and the Hamlet, which foreshadowed the Trianon de Versailles. Children will like the kangaroo enclosure, which marks the first stage in the rehabilitation project of the menagerie of the Princes of Condé.
