Angoulême Museum

Interesting
The Musée d'Angoulême, housed in a former bishop's palace (12C, remodelled from the 15-19C), has a remarkable African and Oceanic Art collection (ritual statuettes from the Congo) and a masterpiece of Celtic gold plate work, the Agris Helmet. The collection also includes Italian, Flemish and French paintings, as well as works from Charente.
