International Cartoon Museum

Recommended
The city is comprised of two sites on either side of the Charente River, connected by a footbridge decorated with a statue of Corto Maltese. One has a library - a true shrine to comics - that contains nearly all the French cartoons produced since 1946. The other houses the Musée de la BD, which presents the evolution of this art form from the 1830s to the present day, and a huge bookstore. Also: two cinemas, a restaurant, a "cyberspace" and two schools linked to the multimedia industry.
