A stone's throw from the Durance, long avenues lined with plane trees lead to a perfectly round old town lying on the last slopes of the Luberon. In old Manosque, tall houses, with - in the words of Jean Giono - roofs "laid one on top of the other, like plates of armour" mask patios and fragrant gardens... The church - Église St Sauveur - houses a fine organ case from 1625. You are treated to a fine view of Manosque from the top of the Mont d'Or.
