Alpha Wolf Park
At an altitude of 1 500m in the heart of the Parc National du Mercantour, this unique place places much of its emphasis on education. Named after the dominant pair in the wolf pack, the park's aim is to bridge the gap between man, ecology and wolves. Half of the 12ha park is set aside for three packs of wolves, living semi-wild in huge enclosures. The park provides a wonderful opportunity to observe these beautiful animals, and the chance to participate in the feeding of them.
