Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur

Vaucluse

Vaucluse
The Essential
Direction: Vaucluse, where you will discover a side of Provence with plenty of picturesque villages, lavender fields and renowned Côtes-du-Rhône vineyards.
You will adore Avignon and its splendid Palais des Papes, and Orange and Vaison-la-Romaine with their ancient monuments; stroll the sloping, cobbled streets of perched villages such as Bonnieux and Lacoste and follow the trails of the Sentiers des Ocres in Roussillon and Rustrel. And maybe you will tempted to jump on a bicycle to take on the mythical coast of Mont Ventoux in the north of the Luberon Regional Nature Park. After all that exertion, you should reward yourself with a break on a café terrace, in the shade of the plane trees, to sip a perfectly chilled Beaumes-de-Venise wine.
