Musée du Vivarais Protestant
This small museum occupies the house in which Pierre Durand, a pastor of the "Church of the Desert" in the 18C, was born. His sister, Marie Durand, was imprisoned for 38 years (1730-1768) in the Constance tower of Aigues-Mortes, where she is said to have carved the famous word "RÉSISTER" (RESIST), which would lend its name to the Resistance movement against the Nazis three centuries later.
