Dominated by the Aiguille de Péclet and three glaciers demarcating the Vanoise National Park, Val Thorens is located at an altitude of 2 300m. The highest ski resort in Europe, and a car-free zone, is open to skiers from November to May. In the summer, skiing continues, on the Glacier du Péclet. A real paradise for snow sports, it has plenty of steep downhill runs. The resort also offers interesting après-ski activities.
