The city of Berlin, whose division symbolised that of the world into two blocks, became the capital of Germany once again in 1990. Today the city is buzzing with life, with bold new architectural projects, an avant-garde music scene, and a profusion of original art galleries, bars and places to visit. Visitors are attracted to Berlin, half the size of London, but eight times that of Paris, by its heritage, dynamic cultural scene, never-ending nightlife, numerous parks and gardens and the diversity of its various districts.
