Church of Our Lady of the Fields, Soest

The nave of this beautiful 14C Gothic hall church is almost as broad as it is long and high. Above the north doorway, a stained-glass window representing the Last Supper (1520) depicts local food specialities including a boar's head, pitchers of beer and rye bread rolls. Its most important work of art is the Aldegrever Altarpiece, which shows a haloed Virgin flanked by St Anthony and St Agatha.
