Set in the mountain range of Rhineland-Palatinate, Edenkoden is a small wine-growing town along the renowned Wine Route. It is home to Ludwigshöhe Castle, devoted to Impressionist artist Max Slevogt (1868-1932). Surrounded by beautiful vineyards, the region can be explored on foot along hiking paths or during a cable car ride up to the top of the Rietburg (550m/1,800ft), the departure point for walks in the forest.
