Museum of Arts and Folklore of Dresden

Interesting
This museum of popular arts and traditions displays numerous exhibits in the city's oldest Renaissance building, dating back to 1568, including painted furniture, indigo printed fabrics (Blaudruckerei), and crockery displayed according to its place of production (earthenware from Zittau, honey pots from Lunzenau etc). Regional costumes from Saxony and Swabia are also presented, alongside toys, Christmas decorations and the Schneeberg crib (1958), inspired by the world of mining. Visitors can also admire the museum's extensive collection of puppets.
