Lübeck Cathedral

In the 14C, this Romanesque building was transformed and extended in the Gothic style. Inside, admire the gigantic crucifix sculpted between 1470 and 1477 in the flamboyant Gothic style by Bernt Notke. A stone rood screen marks the separation with the choir. At the transept crossing, note the different altarpieces on pillars. These include an altarpiece donated by the merchants of Stecknitz in 1422, as well as others dedicated to the Canonical Hours, the Millers (1460) and the Madonna and Unicorn (1506).
