The Essential
The village of Pelekas is renowned for its magnificent sunsets. From the belvedere, built by Kaiser Wilhelm II - called the "Kaiser's Throne" because the Emperor liked to sit here and admire the landscape - you will have a superb panoramic view of the centre of the island of Corfu. Two kilometres from the village, Pelekas's long beach, a bay surrounded by rocks, is ideal for an afternoon dip.
